Vusi grew up in the Mamelodi township, just outside of Pretoria, where he still resides. Vusi began to write songs of justice, of freedom, of revolution, of love, of peace and of life. Through the hardships that he faced during apartheid, he simply became known as “The Voice.”

Since the release of their self-titled debut album in April 2011, GoodLuck have taken the charts by storm as the explosive electro-swing act. Dookoom is fronted by Cape Flats' Isaac Mutant. Musically Dookoom is a combination of raw, unfiltered, menacing Cape Flats street rap delivered over an aggressive, apocalyptic onslaught of hardcore, industrial strength beats with sonic stains of grime, trap, pervert pop, punk and drum and bass. 

It all started in September 2004, when best friends Rian Zietsman, Loedi van Renen and Louis Nel invited George van der Spuy to a jam session at a military base. Their sound can be described as blues-infused, retro rock with a pinch of sleaze and bourbon.
