Their social-commentary on the frustrations with, and paradoxes of, Afrikaans identity, culture and intertwining Christian conservatism, have been a bone of contention within South Africa’s Afrikaans community.

Sweat.X is Spoek Mathambo and Markus Wormstorm – they are The EbonyIvoryTron. Mathambo plays the Ndebele counterpoint to Wormstorm’s exuberant Afrikaaner. Brought together through a mutual love of Prince, the two launched a collaborative music project called Sweat.X which they described as "Afro-electro".
