Battle 4 Rumours April lineup announced
The Battle 4 Rumours on Wednesday, 9 April features Rootage, Wobbajak, Stone Griffin and Katharine Jack in action. The full April lineup is now available; bookings are open for May.
The owner of Rumours is also sponsoring a R500 cash prize to the band that brings the most fans on the night to support them. Bands that have 20 or more fans through the door on the night also score full points for marketing. A panel of judges score the bands and each band gets their score sheet with constructive feedback on the night.
Open for a bigger band
An added bonus is that the owner of Rumours will be choosing bands from these events to open for bigger bands playing at Rumours during the year. It is his prerogative to add support bands to big named bands playing at the venue. Steyn de Wet played at the Battle 4 Rumours during March and was asked them to open for Van Coke Kartel on Thursday, 10 April.
There are over R200,000 worth of prizes on offer for the winning band and weekly cash prizes for bands at this years Battle 4 Rumours. Music Connection is sponsoring a backline for the winning band in December and Atelier Studios is sponsoring a 12-track recording.
