SAMRO announces MOI workshop dates

SAMRO is conducting countrywide consultations to solicit input on the amendment of the new Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI) adopted in 2013 at the AGM.

Members across the country had previously raised concerns, particularly with regard to certain definitions under clause 1.2 of the MOI. It was, however, decided to adopt the MOI on the proviso that the MOI would be amended in 2014.

Members are free to propose any amendments/additions to the MOI. The SAMRO team will note members’ suggestions, comments and proposals. These will be presented to the board for its consideration. A draft version of the amended MOI will be circulated to all members prior to the 2014 AGM. The amended MOI, with members’ proposals will be tabled for adoption at the 2014 AGM.
