Free CT Jazz Fest concert coming up
Tickets for the 15th Cape Town International Jazz Festival are officially sold out, but you can still get in on the action. Taking place on Wednesday, 26 March 2014 at Greenmarket Square, the free community concert starts at 5pm and is expected to finish around 11pm.
This year's lineup includes: Open Mic winner, Sade Ross; Tasha’s World (The Netherlands), Shakatak (UK) and, Crazy White Boy and the Arts & Focus Schools Superband. Good Hope FM’s LuWayne Wonder will be MC for the event.
“Each year the festival attracts visitors from far and wide and we are proud that we have created something that has international and local appeal. But, the free concert is where our commitment to ensuring that live music can reach more people really comes alive and this year particularly as South Africa enters its 20th year of free elections, the democracy of music is even more important,” says Rashid Lombard, the founder of the festival.
