Lunch hour classical music concerts

The Auto & General Theatre on the Square will present its musical programme for autumn 2014. South African classical musicians, established and up-and-coming, will again be presented – as well as special international guest performers from England, the Netherlands, Israel, Austria, Bulgaria and Italy.

Concerts take place every Friday at 1pm and tickets are available at the theatre from 12.30pm. Tickets are R40. The price includes coffee and biscuits.

Works by Schubert and Dvorak.

Ventura Rosenthal (harp) and George Fazakas (flute)
Programme will include the famous "Casilda Fantaisie" by Doppler/Zamara.

The Integration Trio
This a new and exciting South African trio, brings influences from various avenues of musical inspiration into music written and arranged for saxophone, percussion and piano. Matthew Lombard (saxophone), Gerben Grooten (percussion) and Annalien Ball (piano) make up this dynamic ensemble, and perform music that crosses the boundaries of traditional Western Art Music and integrates styles from various cultures and continents worldwide.
