It's Prague for The Plastics

9 Oct 2014 8:18 PM

Cape Town indie band The Plastics will be heading to Prague this November to take part in the Nouvelle Prague 2014 Showcase. The band was scouted by the Nouvelle Prague organisers in March 2014 while performing at Parklife Festival in Johannesburg.

There are only eight acts worldwide performing at the showcase and it is a huge honour to be invited to play. Nouvelle Prague hosts the event each year, and it involves delegates from around the world forming panels discussing various topics and issues affecting the music world, as well as a festival of bands from around the world playing for the attendees.

“The aim for us would be to meet as many people as possible at the showcase - musicians and industry folk - to connect to the worldwide music community. We really want to be able to tour the world and see this as a gateway to getting opportunities to do so,” says The Plastics.

Nouvelle Prague 2014 takes place in the Smichov District in Prague, Czech Republic on 7-8 November 2014.

The Plastics will also be using this opportunity to perform in Europe and the UK with shows already booked for London and Berlin. The band are currently working on a new EP set for release early 2015.
