Die Antwoord rolls with the stars
Rubbing shoulders with the stars, SA's Die Antwoord have not only released a new music video, but are also seen in the trailer of the latest offering from director Neill Blomkamp - Chappie.
The music video for Ugly Boy, directed by Ninja and produced by Yo-Landi Vi$$er, features Jack Black, Flea, Marilyn Manson, Dita Von Teese, and Cara Delevingne. Ugly Boy heavily samples Aphex Twin's Ageispolis. Taken from Donker Mag, released in June this year, here's Ugly Boy:
According to Dazeddigital.com, the "ugly boy" is the Cape Town gangster Yo-Landi started seeing after she split from Ninja.
The artistic duo will also be seen starring alongside Sharlto Copley, Hugh Jackman, Dev Patel, and Sigourney Weaver in the Chappie movie. Chappie is Neill Blomkamp's third feature length film as director following the blockbuster hits District 9 and Elysium. He wrote the screenplay along with his District 9 partner Terri Tatchell. Chappie will be hitting the screens in March 2015.
